Brenda is an experienced and accomplished piano instructor deeply involved in the life of her community and related professional organizations. Brenda believes that music can change a person's life.
I encourage students to study music they enjoy and develop their talents in areas of their interest. Opportunities will be given to develop piano skills in performance, theory, music history, improvisation, and ensemble playing. Many students have been invited and given the opportunity to use their learned piano skills to play at school and church.
Brenda has over 30 years of private studio teaching experience.
Brenda holds the prestigious designation of a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) through Musical Teachers National Association, a rigorous certification process. This certification requires ongoing professional growth and continuing education.
Brenda takes an active role in professional organizations to enhance the experience of her students.
Brenda's involvement allows her students to participate in local, state, and regional festivals and competitions.
Brenda believes that embracing the community and sharing their God-given talent is an important aspect of studying piano. Brenda has put on programs for retirement communities and other appropriate venues for students to become integrated in the lives of their community.
